9th Conference on Design and Technology of Integrated Systems in nanoscale era (DTIS 2014)

Dates: 6-8 May 2014, Santorini, Greece

The aim of DTIS 2014 is to cope with the rapidly progressing technology which, today, reaches the nanometer scale. The areas of interest include the design, test and technology of electronic products, ranging from integrated circuit modules and printed circuit boards to full systems and microsystems, as well as the methodologies and tools used in the design, verification and validation of such products. Topics of the conference include, but are not limited to:
Integrated Systems Design:
  • SOC, SIP design
  • Multiprocessor systems
  • Embedded systems
  • Wireless systems
  • Network on Chip
  • Analog, Mixed Signal and RF systems
  • MEMS and MOEMS systems
  • Low Voltage and Low Power systems
  • Innovative technologies
  • Synthesis (physical, logic)
  • Simulation, Validation and Verification
  • 3D integration

Integrated Systems Technology:
  • Nanoelectronics
  • Device modeling
  • Material characterization
  • Failure analysis
  • New components
  • Packaging
  • Process technology
  • Reliability issues
  • 3D integration

Integrated Systems Testing:
  • Defect and fault modeling
  • Analog and Mixed Signal testing
  • MEMS/MOEMS testing
  • SOC and SIP testing
  • Delay testing
  • Memory testing
  • Fault Simulation, ATPG
  • DFT, BIST and BISR
  • On-line testing and fault tolerant systems
  • ATE issues
  • Alternative test strategies
  • 3D testing

Organization: DTIS’14 will be organized by the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Athens in collaboration with the National Engineering School of Sfax, the Laboratory of Informatics, Robotics and Microelectronics of Montpellier (LIRMM), France, and the Greek Computer Society. DTIS will be co-sponsored by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (final approval pending). The conference official language is English.

Best Paper award: A best paper award will be given during the conference.

Journal Special Issue: A selection of the best papers presented in the Conference will be considered for publication in a Special Issue of the Microelectronics Journal.

Papers Submission: Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research work to DTIS’14. Paper submissions should be complete manuscripts. The paper must clearly indicate the area, main results and contributions. The manuscript should follow the instructions included in the author’s kit at the conference web site. Submitted articles should be in PDF format and uploaded to the on-line submission system. Submissions will be considered as evidence that, upon acceptance, the corresponding author assumes responsibility of preparing the final version in due time and, also, the commitment of registration and presentation of the paper at the conference.

Proposals for Special Session: Proposals for original, high-quality Special Sessions addressing innovative research, highlighting significant topics and emerging issues, related to the conference theme, are welcome. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings.
Important Dates:
Paper Submission deadline: November 1, 2013
Notification of acceptance: December 20, 2013
Final version due date: January 15, 2014

About the location: DTIS 2014 will be held in Santorini. Santorini is essentially what remains after an enormous volcanic explosion that destroyed the earliest settlements on a formerly single island, and created the current geological caldera. The capital, Fira, clings to the top of the cliff looking down on the lagoon. The island is the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history: the Minoan eruption (sometimes called the Thera eruption), which occurred some 3600 years ago at the height of the Minoan civilization. The eruption may have led to the collapse of the Minoan civilization on the island of Crete, 110 km (68 mi) to the south, through a gigantic tsunami. Another popular theory holds that the Thera eruption is the source of the legend of Atlantis. Santorini Volcano is listed in the "100 places to see before I die" collection of tripadvisor.
